About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Park Ridge, Illinois, The Sandlot is a standout American fast food restaurant that promises an authentic, mouthwatering burger experience. Known for its impressive lineup of hand breaded chicken sandwiches, juicy Two-N-Two burgers, and the classic Chicago-style hot dog, this spot effortlessly captures the spirit of a neighborhood favorite with a twist of classic Americana.

What truly sets The Sandlot apart is the careful attention to detail in every dish. The Two-N-Two Burger, with its double layers of meat and cheese topped with your choice of grilled or raw onions, lettuce, tomato, and their signature Sandlot spread, delivers a juicy, flavorful bite that’s deeply satisfying. For heartier appetites, go for the 3 N 3 or 4 N 4, quadruple layers of meat and cheese that remain perfectly balanced, never overwhelming. And if you're a connoisseur of fries, their fresh cut French fries offer a golden, crispy perfection that complements every meal — no wonder customers rave about their similarity to beloved Penn Station fries.

Beyond the burgers and fries, The Sandlot’s shakes are an experience of their own. From rich chocolate and creamy Emerald Shakes to classic root beer floats and innovative M&M malts, these drinks provide a nostalgic sweet finish or a cool refreshment alongside your meal. The menu’s affordability, combined with quality ingredients, makes it a fantastic spot for anyone craving a quick but memorable bite.

The dining atmosphere perfectly matches the food’s straightforward charm: welcoming and relaxed, with just enough bustle to keep things fun but never overwhelming. The space is intimate—featuring a handful of indoor tables and some inviting picnic tables outside—making it ideal for a casual lunch or a laid-back dinner with friends. Customers consistently praise the friendly, efficient service that keeps the experience smooth and enjoyable, even during busy times.

From burger aficionados like "Deplorable Rob," who was won over after years of anticipation, to casual diners like "Hannah D." who appreciates the quick, satisfying nature of the meals, The Sandlot delivers on its promise day after day. While it keeps things simple, this Park Ridge gem invites you to savor each bite, enjoy a classic American flavor palette, and experience the comfort of a locally loved burger joint that feels just right.

Whether you’re after the crispy, golden fries, a perfectly grilled bacon cheeseburger with oozing melted cheese and grilled onions, or an indulgent shake to top it all off, The Sandlot leaves a lasting impression. It’s more than just a fast food restaurant—it’s a delicious walk down memory lane that satisfies both your hunger and your heart.

I literally had this place on my list of "wanna try" venues for more than 2 years now, but the end of this past April finally became a reality. This adorable burger joint boasts some mouthwatering and made-to-order burgers and great fries. Dining area is kept clean, service is very friendly and prices seem fair for what you get. I'm a bit of a burger connoisseur and I really like the burgers here. The timing was right at the time we were able to try this place being we just picked up my stepdaughter from O'Hare. We live pretty far north in Beach Park in Lake Co so time will tell when we'll stop back in again. I always try my best to support local and I certainly hope for years of boomin' business to come for the owner(s).

The Sandlot is definitely an in-and-out kind of fix if you need it! Quick, easy, and hits the spot. The fries were the standout for me—super fresh, perfectly crispy, and honestly reminded me of Penn Station fries (in the best way). The only downside was that it was cash-only today, which was a little inconvenient. Overall, solid spot for a quick bite when you’re craving something fast and tasty.

Great burgers n fries! It’s a quick in and out kinda place but they also have indoor seating. I will definitely be back whenever I’m in that neighborhood. Thanks SANDLOT!!

Sandlot delivers a fun, relaxed experience that nails the balance between casual comfort and solid, satisfying food. The vibe is upbeat without being overwhelming, making it a great spot to unwind with friends, grab a drink, or just enjoy a laid-back meal. The atmosphere feels welcoming, with friendly service that keeps things moving smoothly even during busier hours. The menu hits the mark with well-prepared classics—fresh, flavorful, and served with care. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty bite or something lighter, there’s enough variety to make everyone happy. While a few dishes could use just a bit more polish to reach that perfect five-star level, the overall consistency and quality make Sandlot a reliable favorite. A great go-to spot when you want good food, a good time, and a place that always treats you right.

Little gem in Park Ridge with about 5 tables inside and couple of picnic tables outside...Yoooo man this burger was out this world...got the Two-N-Two burger with Fries. If you ever had In N Out or like it... this is the closest to it. Only one negative thing was fries were mixed with cold stale fries and hot fries, not cool! Also got the Chicago style hot dog it was good...although it wasn't a true Chicago dog. It had cucumber instead of a pickle, but honestly I actually liked it with a cucumber. Very young friendly staff...It takes a few minutes for fresh amazing burgers because everything is cooked to order here...l love that worth the wait! 100% recommend!

Date: 28-June-2024 Time: Early lunch Total (before tip): $11.96 Payment type: Cash Server: Ordered at the counter/Peter Grade: A So I was in the neighborhood for memorial service and wanted to pick up some food for an early lunch. The place looked empty when I entered, maybe one person. I came up to the counter and ordered their Two-N-Two and some fries. It didn't take too long for my food to come out. I started with fries and they were pretty good! I liked the fact that they were hand cut, not pre-frozen kind. I ordered my burger without onions (had to go back to work and deal with people), and it was pretty delicious! I think their special sauce was the difference! Overall an A experience! If I am ever back in the neighborhood, I will stop by!

No frills place, reminds me of an In N Out. I ordered the Double Double, er, I mean the Two-N-Two. In my hurry I neglected to order their fresh cut fries. Doh! I wouldn't be surprised if they have a secret menu with Animal Style. Prices are good, staff is friendly. Everything is made to order. The burger was delicious. Perfectly seasoned, fresh ground beef. Fiance's chocolate shake was freshly made and tasty too. I'll definitely be back for another burger, and I'll be sure to ask for fries. SECOND VISIT: Fantastic burger, fries were okay but slightly undercooked. I don't like floppy fries. Three stars for the fries, five for everything else.

My husband found this place when I told him a had a craving for a burger. I am so happy he found this gem! Do not be fooled about what the building looks like because it looks like a hole in the wall but the inside was clean, and the people working there are super friendly. Me and my husband both got the two on two and added bacon to it with both grilled and raw onions. We got an order of hand cut fries to split, both the fries and the burger are PHENOMENAL!! I saved this place so I can come back when we come back to the area which is several times a year. We got a Diet Pepsi to split, everything was under $30 for both of us to eat and get stuffed!
